The Post Polio Network of WA (Inc) is a voluntary not-for profit charity run by polio survivors and allied health professionals. Membership of the Network is limited to polio survivors and their families. The services provided are funded by membership fees, donations and accumulated funds.
The Network’s primary focus is to help members in accordance with its Mission, Vision and Values:
Providing information about access to the Late Effects Clinic at Fiona Stanley
Hospital and other medical and allied health professionals with an interest in the area.
Working cooperatively with the national body Polio Australia and distributing any material (medical alert cards, pamphlets) forwarded to PPNWA.
Ready access to the resources of Polio Australia Incorporated
Advising members and their families about services such as accessing the Post- Polio Clinic at Fiona Stanley Hospital and their eligibility for the NDIS or My Aged Care
Organising regular daytime events with a guest speaker and refreshments
Telephone support
Receiving the Newsletter by email or post three times per year.
The membership fee is $10 per year. Payments may be made by personal cheque or bank transfer
